Villa Regina is an ancient Roman villa located in Boscoreale near Naples, Italy. It was buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and was rediscovered in the 19th century during excavations in the area. The villa was originally a luxury residence, most likely belonging to a wealthy merchant, and includes several rooms decorated with frescoes, such as a peristyle garden, a triclinium, a lararium, and a private thermal bath. The frescoes depict scenes from Greek mythology, landscapes, and still life images. Today, visitors can explore the ruins of Villa Regina and admire the exquisite frescoes and architectural elements that have survived through the centuries.
